Symphony of the Sea vs Kiss of the Sea

Two shows, not one

Symphony of the Sea and Kiss of the Sea are separate shows on the same Sunset Town waterfront, at the southern end of Phú Quốc. They have different stages and different production teams, and the booking here lets you choose either show or both. Symphony of the Sea is staged over the bay by Sun Group with H2O Events and Laservision, and it returned for a second season in late 2025. Kiss of the Sea is staged in its own seaside theatre with ECA2, a Paris production company, and premiered in January 2024. Sun Group says the two together give the island two fireworks displays every night.

What Symphony of the Sea is

Symphony of the Sea is an on-water show. Riders on jetskis, jetsurfs and flyboards perform to music, with lasers, lighting, water effects and fireworks around them. The listing describes the current season as using a large floating stage out on the water. Sun Group's visitor site puts it at about 20 minutes, so think of it as a short, loud finale to an evening, not a full night at the theatre. Sun Group's pages list the Sunset Town beach, Kiss Bridge and restaurant tables as places to watch it across the bay.

What Kiss of the Sea is

Kiss of the Sea is the larger, staged production. Sun Group describes a seaside show that mixes live performers, fire, water, lasers and music with a large seawater screen, and it ends with fireworks. The Kiss Bridge forms part of the stage, and the audience watches from grandstands. You can choose it, on its own or together with Symphony of the Sea, when you book through the link on this site.

Which one to pick

Neither show replaces the other, so there isn't one right answer to which is better. It depends on what you came to see. If you want the jetski and flyboard stunts in a shorter show, choose Symphony of the Sea. If you would rather watch a staged production with a live cast, choose Kiss of the Sea. If you are travelling with someone who dislikes crowds or loud noise, remember that both shows end with fireworks, so neither is a quiet evening. Choose the matching option when you book.

Doing both in one evening

Symphony of the Sea plays early in the evening and Kiss of the Sea later, so one night can hold both, and the combination option on the booking covers both shows. Sun Group's own pages differ by a few minutes on exact start times, so read the times on your confirmation before you plan dinner between the two. Food and drinks are not included, and Sunset Town has restaurants along the waterfront. Leave time to move between the two shows and to head home afterwards.

Your option decides which show or shows you get, so read the option name before you pay and keep your confirmation handy. A reviewer also reports no live performers on Tuesdays, so check the programme for your date. If a detail matters to you, for example a particular show on a particular night, check it before you pay, not on the night.

Sun Group sells its own Symphony of the Sea tickets. You can buy online on the Sun World website, where you choose a date and time slot, as e-tickets in its Sun Paradise Land app for check-in, or at ticket counters at Sun World Hon Thom and in Sunset Town. Its standard ticket covers Kiss Bridge or the beach, and the dinner show is paid for at the restaurant. Booking here lets you sort it before you travel, with reserve now, pay later and free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and you can add Kiss of the Sea in the same booking. We found no cancellation rule on Sun Group's pages.

Who should book direct instead

Buy from Sun Group if you want to choose between Kiss Bridge and the beach yourself, or if you are already at Sun World Hon Thom or in Sunset Town and can buy at a counter. Compare the final total for your date on both sides first. Prices change, and we don't print any here. Book through this listing if you want your night fixed before you fly, you want the option to cancel, or you want both shows in one booking.

Can you watch without a ticket?

None of the pages we read says you can watch Symphony of the Sea without a ticket. Sun Group lists the viewing places as ticket options, and it doesn't say whether other spots work. A Vietnam News article says the nightly fireworks that follow Kiss of the Sea can be watched from Sunset Beach and some beachside venues, but that is a different show. If seeing Symphony properly matters, buy a ticket instead of counting on a free spot.

Who this isn't for

If you want a story told by a cast on a stage, choose the Kiss of the Sea option instead of Symphony of the Sea. If you dislike loud music, lasers and fireworks, skip both. Both are evening shows, so a daytime-only trip won't work. Symphony of the Sea returned for a second season in late 2025 and the listing now describes Season 3, so make sure your date shows as available before you plan around it.
